Skinny Jeans

Trust me, this type of jeans are so not for portuguese women.
Me included.
The greatest part of latin women have big bottoms, so, drainpipe chape will not improve at all our figures!
Although, i can not pretend i do not see all the northern european women sporting this gorgeous look.
Some of the greatest denim companies say that is due to a preconceived ideia: we are used to small bottoms with bigger tops, but the future of fashion is turning things around.

I don't know if this will happen around here as well, but i do know that in USA, UK and Japan almost everybody got surrended to this concept.

And how did this trend start?

Summer Attack

Summer has come, at least here in the tail of Europe.

All the girls i know are window shopping suimsuits and bikinis, but non of them are actually trying those in the changing rooms, scared of their own body reflection in the mirror!!

This is a true nightmare for women- Celullite, the forbiden word.

The battle should have started a few months ago, but women always have 1000 concerns at the same time, so this is left to the red line point!

Taschen has got a book i've been wanting for a long, long time: Maroccan Interiors. I think it is just the perfect source of inspiration for that kind of bohemian decorative style.

But, the whole collection is just gorgeous and has got a wide range of influences and styles that will suit everybody's decorative choices.

Nestes ultimos tempos, a minha energia decorativa tem estado virada para o quarto da minha filha!!
No entanto, a cada dia que passa ela vai estando mais crescida, e embora ainda não precise de um espelho, também já não gosta assim tanto de peluches nem brinquedos de bebé.

UK and USA ones are the best, but i do not recommend USA one, because the shipping would much more expensive.
The greatest thing about ebay, at least for me, is that i can purchase things that nobody else has got around here and that are also great bargains!!

Natural Match

Yesterday i decide to change the tone of my hair!I had highlights a few months ago and i'm trying to grow hair in my natural colour!While i was home sleeping my baby i decide to make a few tests on the main haircolour products sites, and i found the PERFECT product for the natural result i wanted!!
I made the 'Select your Shade' test and printed the result! When i arrive to the supermarket and ask for the product i had in the printed photo, the shop assistant told me she never heard about and didn't know where or when i could found it!.... As usual, in this mini-country, nice things take ages to arrive...And sometimes they do never actually arrive, or they just come up incomplete!!
Then, i decide to choose another make as i was decided to colour my hair!! But, then again, a lot of shades were missing!!! As i asked why, the shop assistant told me they didn't ordered!!Simple as that!
The only thing i can say is that i went back home really sad, because this kind of thing happens so many times around here...Products are launched worldwide (even in brasil, India, Japan..) but they arrive my country only almost a year after...


Anyway..For those who do not live in the tail of europe, i think this product must be really, really great!

Summer/2006 Must Haves

As i'm very short of money at the moment, i had to think about a reasonable way to be pretty this summer with some of the new trends..

I decide i only can afford 6 things!

But i need help to decide on the colours , not the styles, because i really know what i like!The problem is when i like something, i often want to have in more than just one colour...
That craze really anoys my boyfriend!! But i never do that.. Whell, i did 1 or 2 times..
But he did as well.. He bought the same jumper in 3 different colours! But with him it just happens once in a while, do!..

Young and Adult Combination or Oily Skin Daily Care:

Wash Off Cleansing Gel- €4.50

If you've got combination skin, better use all skin types Lotion instead off Gel, otherwise skin will get to dry. Lotion should be applied with cotton discs, while gel must be used with water (tap water dries the skin).

Refresshing Cleansing Lotion- €4.90

After Cleansing, tonic will take away all the impurities and make skin look great.This one actually leaves a fresh felling and should be used with cotton discs, as well.

Freshen Up Toner- €4.90

Proper cleansing is done!Time to seal the benefits with moisturiser.This step is absolutly impossible to miss, and if you haven't got the time to go trough all the steps i told behind, just splash a bit on your hands and put on your face!It just takes 1/2 a minute!!You must NEVER leave home without moisturise your skin.This one will hydrate your skin as well as provides shine control.

Control it Moisturiser- €5.90

To complete the cleansing cicle of the skin, once or twice a week, a scrub should be used to remove the deceased cells and show off a brand new and fresh skin.

Scrub Away Exfoliating Scrub- €5.90

I hope all the work i had posting all this f*** s*** will be useful to anybody!I've been using Nivea 3 steps range (with the cleansing lotion, do, because i've got mixed skin) for a while ago..maybe 2 years and i absolutely recommend.This is a great bargain instead of Clinique 3 steps, because nobody in my country can buy Clinique stuff for years!

Imagine when you get older: Anti-ageing facial products are so expensive!!!If you buy Clinique you can not go on a cruise to Caribbean enjoy the last days of your life!..

Of course i never tried anti-ageing, but i already offered may auntie and grandmother, and they really like it.So, just to complete my post:

This delightfull snack it's a spicy mixture of nuts, lentils and fried gram flour noodles.
I bet only 2% of my country's population knows it, and i swear that they don't know what they are missing..Bombay Mix it's ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!

That is all i felt when i discover that the very same of La Redoute (but much better in styles and prices) in UK Addictions Direct does not sell neither ship to my country, here in the tail of the Europe, just by the sea..

They have got the most beautiful range of shoes from £8 to £100 that i've ever found on the web...
You know my shoe addiction!


Sadness that such unimportant thing reminds me that i live far from nice high streets, far from big airports, far from people that lives happy and relaxed in their home country, and far from places where people is open-minded and respect each others individuality..



The connection between my shoe/shopping thoughts and the fact that i live in a retarded country just pop in when i realize that in ebay.pt you just can actually buy old stamps and even older coins!!Nothing else!!!
I think this is a mirror of a old minded population: scared that hackers steal their money through the internet!!...
You know..Fascism untill 1974.

Mango part II

I'm posting photos of MNG new arrivals for summer.
I already bought a new pair of sandals on ebay (brand new,do), but thei'r light gold, so i'm looking for a new pair so i can swapt shoes with my different outfits!
I would like brown or white (or the both!)
I must say that i saw a pair of gorgeous strappy white kitten heels on Stradivarius, but this ones from Mango really catch my eye..
The web site didn't had the prices, but as soon as i go to the actual store i'll update it.
